Permanent Full Time Position: Gold Coast
Gecko Regen is an environmental management company that operates an eight acre native plant production nursery.
The responsibilities for this position will include:
- Operation of the nursery and leadership of the nursery team
- Sales, marketing and business planning
- Coordination and direction of nursery production, orders and dispatch
- Financial and budget control and reporting
Essential criteria include:
- Demonstrated experience in production nursery business planning and budgeting
- Demonstrated experience in managing staff in a wholesale nursery environment
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring KPIs
- Demonstrated experience in generating new sales and creating lasting relationships with clients
- A desire to grow and expand our nursery operations
- Demonstrated experience working with Outlook, Word and Excel
Desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of the plants of SE Queensland
- Demonstrated ability to increase business profile in the industry
- Knowledge of seed collection, storage and propagation of native plants
- Experience in pest/disease monitoring and working with IPM principles
The Nursery Manager reports to the General Manager via the Operations Manager.
